FAQ

Do normal creatures count toward Fishipedia?
No. Normal kills count toward Collector, while Fishipedia tracks the rare Drip version of every required creature separately. Use the encyclopedia to check the Drip marker for each entry.
Do you need to keep Drip creatures?
The achievement condition is to find and kill the Drip creatures. After the kill records, the body can be sold or used at a Reel of Fortune; keeping it is not required for the checklist.

How do you unlock Fishipedia?

Kill the Drip variant of every creature shown in the encyclopedia. Press Tab, inspect the separate Drip status for each entry, and work through only the gaps. Drip creatures have conspicuous appearances and rainbow-colored names, so the main difficulty is spawning the right variants, not recognizing them.

Only 2.6% of players had Fishipedia when the global statistics were checked on September 1, 2026. That rarity reflects a long random-variant grind; it does not imply a hidden final boss.

What is the fastest Drip farming loop?

  1. Finish the story so all lure shops and creature pools are available.
  2. Open Tab and write down every entry without its Drip completion.
  3. Equip the lure associated with one missing creature pool.
  4. Reel slowly enough to identify the catch.
  5. Release ordinary catches immediately when possible, preserving the lure and cycling several candidates from one cast.
  6. Land and kill every missing Drip variant before moving to the next lure.

The Steam guide’s comments recommend releasing non-Drip catches to get multiple checks from one cast. This is a player-tested efficiency tactic, not a published drop-rate formula.

Does island location determine the creature?

The main Steam route was corrected by players to say that the equipped lure, not the island, determines ordinary catch selection. Mobalytics likewise directs players to use the lure required for each missing creature. Special encounters and shops still depend on progression, so complete the story before treating this as pure lure-by-lure cleanup.

Use the rare-creature guide to organize lure pools, the Collector guide to finish normal entries first, and the achievement hub to keep the two collection goals separate.

What should you do with completed Drip catches?

Once the kill registers, sell the body or feed it into a Reel of Fortune. That advances GOLD GOLD GOLD without wasting the time spent finding the variant. Do not gamble a Drip catch before killing it, because Fishipedia is worded around finding and killing the creature.

The money guide explains safer income loops; Drip hunting itself is too random to be dependable income.

Why is the last Fishipedia entry not unlocking?

  • A normal version was killed, but its separate Drip marker remains empty.
  • A Drip catch was released or gambled before the kill recorded.
  • An optional miniboss or story creature remains unchecked.
  • The encyclopedia shows completion but the achievement has not refreshed.

Mobalytics reports that an older extra-catch bug was fixed. Steam comments still contain isolated stuck-at-completion reports. If every entry is visibly complete, reload the save and kill another Drip creature; treat that as troubleshooting, not a guaranteed trigger.
